What is Microsoft To-Do?
Microsoft To-Do is an application that is part of Office 365. This To-Do application expands on the on the Outlook To-Do list. It adds some extras that Outlook doesn’t support. The basic information of Outlook and To-Do are synchronized as they are both part of Office 365.

Getting Started
- Open a web browser and navigate to portal.office.com (link).
- Enter your MSU email address and select Next. This will re-direct to an MSU login page.
- Enter your MSU email address and password.
- Select Sign In.
- Verify your identity with your multi-factor credential.
- Once logged in, select Apps from the menu on the left side of the screen.
- Scroll down or search for To Do and select it.
- Select Tasks from the left side of the screen.
- Type a name for your task where it says "Add a task".
- Select Add.
- You're done! You have created your first task. To perform optional actions on the task, select it and a menu will open to the right. See the Options section below for more.

Options
Add to my day
This will add the task to your My Day section (See My Day section below).
Remind me
Add a reminder/alarm for the task.
Add due date
If this task has a due date enter it here. If not it will be due until it is completed.
Repeat
If you need to perform this task weekly or monthly, enter that information here.
Pick a category
Allows you to add your tasks to categories you have set up in Outlook.
Add file
Attach a file with directions on how to perform the task.

My Day
The My Day option lets you set up your day with the tasks that you want to work on today. You can add new tasks or click on Suggestions (upper right). This will allow you to pick tasks you have already created to add to your day.
- Select My Day.
- Select Add a task or Suggestions.
- Add tasks as needed.
- You're done! You have now planned your day with tasks that you assigned / created.

Viewing in Outlook
If you open Microsoft Outlook and switch to Tasks, you will see the tasks that you have created. If you work with the task in Outlook, it will also update in the To-Do application, and vice versa.
