Unable to Connect to Zoom from an Athena Citrix Window

Summary

People accessing Athena from home are connecting via Citrix. Only Athena is allowed to use this connection. Other internet access, like a Zoom session will be blocked and fail. This is by design.

Problem

While connected to Athena from off site, using Citrix, you are unable to bring up any other websites in the Citrix window, like Zoom.

Environment

Athena on Citrix

Resolution

Copy the Zoom web link and paste it into a separate browser window running from the local machine.

Cause

When working on Athena from home, using a Citrix connection, any other internet traffic will need to use a separate browser window. The Citrix session will block any non-Athena internet traffic.
