D2L - How To Restore a Missing Course Admin Button in a D2L Course

Problem

You have a course in D2L with admin rights but do not have a Course Admin button showing to manage it.

Environment

D2L

Resolution

  1. Open the course where the Course Admin button is missing
  2. Hover your cursor over the navigation menu - an ellipses (. . .) should appear towards the right side
  3. Select the ellipses and then choose Edit This Navbar

  4. On the Edit Navbar screen, select Add Links

  5. Scroll down the list of possible items and check the box next to Course Admin
  6. Select Add
  7. Select Save and Close
  8. You're done! The Course Admin button should now be restored for the course.

Cause

It is possible to inadvertently remove the button while customizing the course.
