Unable to See a Rubric to Add in D2L - For Instructors

If an instructor is trying to add a rubric to an assessment and it does not show up, some settings may not be set correctly.

Problem

When trying to add a rubric, it does not show as available to add.

Environment

D2L

Resolution

1. Open the course in D2L and go to Assessments > Rubrics
2. Find the desired rubric and edit it
3. On the Edit rubric page, at the bottom, there is an Options menu (it may need to be expanded using the drop down)
4. Check the both boxes for eportfolio and competencies
5. Save

Cause

Without these settings in place, the Rubric cannot be added.
