Objective
Following these steps will submit a request to obtain a static IP address for use on MSU's network.

Before You Begin
This article details the process in which IP Administrators can request new/changes to static IP addresses within their department/building units.
For more information on static IP addresses please see Management of IP addresses and host names at MSU provided by Network Operations.
Please note that a static IP address is only intended for use when directly connected to the MSU network. See Central Domain Name Server (DNS) Settings (KB link) for related information including configuration settings.
Steps
IP Administrators can submit a request to the IT Service Desk to request changes and/or additional static IP addresses for their respective buildings and/or departments.
Individual users will need to contact their respective IP Administrator for assistance in requesting a static IP.
