Service Status postings fall into two general categories:
- Service Maintenance - for notice of a planned and scheduled maintenance. This includes emergency maintenance.
- Incidents - for notice of reported or known service interruptions that are in the process of being investigated.

Service Maintenance Posting Requests:
Normally a related Scheduled Maintenance posting to the Service Status system occurs as part of the change management process. On occasion, however, a service owner may need to request a posting on short notice. Typically this would involve an accelerated change and a resulting Emergency Maintenance posting.
Incidents (Outages):
Information for Incidents (Outages, Interruptions) should be provided to the IT Service Desk. If an Incident needs to be handled urgently, please call the IT Service Desk to arrange immediate handling.
