Overview

MSU Print is the centrally supported printing solution for MSU students, faculty, staff, and departments. More than 1.5 million pages are printed each year.

Cost to Print

Black & White Prints

  • 12 cents per 8.5 x 11 page
  • 24 cents per 8.5 x 11 duplex page (double-sided)
  • 24 cents per 11 x 17 page (Tabloid size is NOT available using Web Print. Available only in computer labs where color printers are located)

Color Prints

  • 20 cents per 8.5 x 11 page
  • 40 cents per 11 x 17 page (Tabloid size is NOT available using Web Print. Available only in computer labs where color printers are located)

MSU Print Policies

  • Spartan Cash transfers are non-refundable.
  • Refunds of remaining balances will not be granted for students who leave the University.
  • The remaining balance of Print Credits is non-refundable.
  • Print credits are not transferable to another account.
  • Print credits may be issued for damaged prints, low toner, or too-light prints.
  • Refunds requested through the print credit request form must be submitted within 30 days of the original purchase.

Computer Lab Printing

Printing is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, in many locations, depending on computer lab building hours.

If you print from a computer in the lab or at the Main or Gast Business Libraries, your print job will be sent to the local printer assigned to that lab.

Department Printing

Departments can request that printers be deployed in specific unit locations as part of MSU Print. To make a request, contact the MSU IT Service Desk at (517)432-6200 or visit ithelp.msu.edu.
