Ordering Captions for Your Media

Note: There may be two options above "Caption & Enrich". They are for a service MSU does not use, and are not functional.
  1. Once logged in to mediaspace.msu.edu, navigate to My Media under the User drop down menu.
  2. Click on the title of the media entry for which you wish to order captions.
  3. Select Caption & Enrich from the Actions drop down menu. The Existing Requests and Order Captions and Enrichment Services sections will appear.
  4. Scroll down to the Order Captions and Enrichment Services section.
  5. Make sure your Source Media Language is correct.
  6. Click the Submit button to order your captions.

After captions are ordered, you will be able to see their status in the Existing Requests section. You will receive a notification email when your captions are done processing.

Generally, captions take a minimum of 5-10 minutes to generate for the shortest videos. For longer videos, the expected time is at least twice the video length. Heavy usage may delay this further.

For additional guidance, please refer to Requesting and Ordering Captions and Enrichment Services through the KMS/KAF - REACH v2.
