Enabling Windows Hello

Objective

Enable windows hello log in features like pin, face id, or finger print.

Environment

Broad Windows 11 Devices enrolled in Microsoft Intune

Before You Begin

Make sure you device is enrolled in Intune. Non-intune devices do not need to complete this process.

To Check if you device is enrolled in Intune:

  1. Click Start  on your Windows Device
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Click Accounts
  4. Click Access work or School Account
  5. If you see Connected to Michigan State University's Entra ID under your email, your device is enrolled in Intune

Steps To Enroll in Windows Hello

  1. Fill out this Microsoft Form: Microsoft Forms
  2. Wait up to 24 hours for the changes to sync
  3. Restart your device

Additional Info

  • If upon restarting your device you are not prompted to enable Windows Hello Features, you can manually do so by going in Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in Options
