Cognos Enterprise Planning (EP) Component Error

Troubleshooting

If the following Component Error (0x800a01b6) displays while using Cognos Enterprise Planning (EP) make preceding changes to Internet Explorer 11.



The error displays in Internet Explorer 11 while in Default Mode. Enabling Compatibility Mode in Internet Explorer resolves the issue:
 

1. Verify Internet Explorer is version 11.
2. Open the Compatibility View settings in Internet Explorer and verify "msu.edu" is included.
3. Add "https://ebs.msu.edu" and "https://*.msu.edu" to the Trusted Sites for Internet Explorer 11.
