Following these steps will guide a new user through the eLearning Athena training, necessary to getting access to the system.

Environment

Athena eLearning Portal (msuhealth.hc.msu.edu)

Before You Begin

After your Athena account has been created, there is a 24-hour delay before you will be able to log in and access the Athena eLearning Portal. Training is no longer automatically assigned so you will need to access those courses manually.

If you are unable to sign in 48 hours or more after your account has been created, please reach out to the MSU IT Service Desk by calling (517)432-6200 or by submitting a service request (link).

Steps

See the attached PDF for detailed instructions. To ensure 100% course completion, all requirements within the training course must be completed, which includes:

  1. All course content sections; and
  2. All quizzes and quiz simulations completed to the required passing score

Additional Info

eLearning training course completions require communication from several systems and sometimes that communication can be interrupted by leaving a course open for too long, internet connectivity issues, and Internet browser complications. When that communication is interrupted, courses may not mark complete as expected.
