Objective
Following these steps will obtain a license allowing you to download and install the ESET Anti-Virus software to a personal machine.

Before You Begin
ESET Anti-Virus for Personal Use requires that each user be actively employed by MSU as faculty or staff. Retirees and alumni do not qualify and must obtain a personal ESET license through other means.
Steps
- Navigate to https://msu.onthehub.com
- You may be redirected to a MSU Login Page.
- Login with your NetID and Password
- First time users may receive a prompt to review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
- Select Continue at the bottom of the page
- From the main landing page, select ESET from the Navigation bar at the top
- On the ESET License Registration page, select ESET Smart Security Premium
- Select the Are you eligible? link to verify you qualify for the free license
- Select Add to Cart
- Select View Full Cart
- Select I am placing this order for myself
- Select Check Out
- At the bottom of the Order Details screen, you should see a Serial Number. This is what you will use to activate your copy of ESET.
You will receive an Order Invoice email as confirmation. It will have a link labeled Your Account/Orders, which you can use to return to this screen in case you later need to retrieve your Serial Number.

When trying to download the software, if you get a message saying: " This product has become temporarily unavailable", this is usually due to licensing issues on the back end. Please contact the IT Service Desk to alert them to the issue.
