Objective
Following these steps will download and install the ESET Anti-Virus software to your macOS machine.

Before You Begin
You must first obtain a license to download the software. See this article (link) for instructions.
Steps
- Navigate to https://www.eset.com/us/home/free-trial/
- Select Free Download
- Select Download on the left side of the window
- Locate the .dmg installer in your download folder and open the file to begin the installation
- Select Install ESET Cyber Security Pro
- Select Allow
- Select Continue
- Verify you have removed all other anti-virus or anti-malware programs from the computer. Select Continue on the initial installer page.
- Verify your computer meets the minimum system resource requirements. Select Continue
- Select the desired installation language from the drop-down menu
- Read the ESET End User Agreement and select Continue
- If you agree to the terms, select Agree
- Once the Version Check is successful, select Continue
- Select Typical Installation and select Continue
- Use the drop-down menu to determine if you wish to participate in the LiveGrid feedback system (not required).
- Select Continue
- Use the drop-down menu to choose if you wish to enable protections from potentially unwanted applications and select Continue
- Select Install
- You may receive a System Extension Blocked Warning. Select Open Security Preferences
- Select your password requirements from the drop-down menu:
- Ensure App Store and identified developers is selected
- Select Details
- Ensure all options are checked
- Select OK
- Select Don't Allow when it prompts to filter network traffic
- Select Home in the profile field and check the Remember network checkbox
- Select OK
- The ESET Anti-Virus Application should now open on the initial configuration screen. You will be prompted to active a license and enable additional access permissions
- From the Security and Privacy Menu select the Privacy tab Add Both ESET options to the Full Disk Access permissions
- Select Activate product
- Enter the license key you received in your email from before.
