What Is the Service?

Cryptography protects the confidentiality of many computers and applications rely on trusted SSL certificates to operate. The SSL Certificate service maintains a public Certificate Authority from which MSU can issue its own certificates and enable this strong encryption.

Who I Eligible to Use It?

Service Sponsors responsible for enrolling SSL certificates for MSU computing resources.

Rates

SSL Certificates are centrally funded and provided at no additional charge.

Service Level Information

Service requests are processed within one business day, though generally requests are processed as they are received. Certificates are approved at MSU and then are issued by InCommon/Sectigo, usually within 24 hours. When a request is made, an expected fulfillment date is provided and sent to the individual requesting the service.
