What Is the Service?

MSU has a contract with Sectigo, which entitles MSU to provide 4096-bit or larger SSL certificates for MSU servers.

Secure websites use encryption and authentication standards to protect the confidentiality of the connection and data, and SSL is commonly used.

Features

Network administrators can request an individual SSL certificate or unlimited sub-domain SSL certificates through the online request form using the Request an SSL Certificate button on this page.

Rates

There is no charge to MSU departments for SSL certificates. MSU departments may request an unlimited number of SSL certificates.

Service Level Information

Service requests are usually processed using an automated process as they are received, however, there are cases when additional validation or assistance is needed which may take longer. Certificate requests are evaluated and approved by MSU, then the certificate are issued by Sectigo, who sends the certificate information directly to the email address provided.
