Zoom has additional license types that can be requested for large meetings and webinars. Webinars are built for presenting polished content to a large audience, whereas meetings are built for small to large team discussion and collaboration.
While both webinars and large meetings have the capability of larger numbers of participants, there are some differences in features and purposes of each.
- Large Meetings: All participants can share their audio, video, and screen and can include up to 1,000 live interactive participants.
- Webinars: Frequently used to host virtual presentations and broadcast them to a view- and listen-only audience. This reduces the risk of disruptions and is a safer choice for large audiences who join mostly to listen and learn as this options can include up to 3,000 live participants.
