What Is the Service?
Google has imposed a limit on the amount of data higher education institutions may store in Google Drive, a change from the unlimited storage model previously provided to Michigan State University. This service is for individuals that need a direct consultation to help reduce their Drive storage footprint. Self-service guides related to this change can be found on the Google Storage Project Training and Support webpage.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
Any MSU Google user that is impacted by new storage limits is eligible for this service. These new storage limits put in place are needed to provide equitable storage for all MSU-affiliated users to ensure compliance with the new Google Drive storage model. The Google Storage Project page on tech.msu.edu provides links to self-service training and resources to assist users in managing, migrating or reducing their data storage within Google. If you would like to get a direct consultation to help with your data storage needs, please request support through this form.
