What Is the Service?
Zoom is a cloud-based platform for video and audio conferencing, mobile collaboration, and simple online meetings. It provides a reliable and easy-to-use interface for hosting virtual meetings, classes, and events. MSU faculty, staff, and students have free access to Zoom licensed meetings for up to 300 participants and Zoom webinars for up to 1,000 participants. MSU Zoom uses OKTA log-in for secure access.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
This service is available to all current students, faculty, and staff at the university.
How Do I Use It?
Users can download and access Zoom through https://msu.zoom.us/. If logging in through the website, users will simply need to authenticate with their NetID credentials. If using the app, they must first select the SSO option, then enter "MSU" in the domain field, click continue, and then enter their MSU NetID credentials when prompted. Once logged in, users can join a meeting by clicking on the meeting link or start a new meeting by selecting "Host a Meeting."
