There are more than 200 applications installed on Mac and PC computers in labs and classrooms. Read a list of all software applications.
PC computer operating systems are Windows 10. Mac computers in computer labs across campus currently support OS X. Macs are located in Bessey 317, Main Library, and Union 200 Engagement Center.
Specialized classroom applications are available upon request by filling out this form.
Due Dates
- Spring semester requests: Due on or before October 1.
- Summer semester requests: Due on or before February 1.
- Fall semester requests: Due on or before June 1.
Rates
This service is provided at no cost.
Service Level Information
This service is supported 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year with regularly scheduled maintenance periods.
Service requests are acknowledged within 48 hours. When a request is made, an expected fulfillment date is provided and sent to the individual requesting the service.
Special Considerations
If the software you will be using is not already present in the list of existing lab software, you must make arrangements no later than one month before the date you want to use the software in the computer lab.
Please allow more time if special software licensing restrictions apply.
Please fill out this request form to the best of your abilities to request software installation in IT Services supported classrooms at MSU. Requests must be made one month prior to the start date specified to allow for adequate purchase, acquisition, and testing time. Application installation and testing time varies greatly between applications, depending on your request the install time may also vary greatly. A one-month installation window ensures that your application will be available, configured, and fully functional in time for your requested availability date.
