What is LaTex?
LaTeX (based on the original TeX) is a typesetting system that includes features particularly designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation. LaTeX is the de facto standard for the communication and publication of scientific documents and is available as free software.

How is LaTex Used at MSU?
At MSU, use of LaTeX is a requirement for papers, theses, etc., submitted by students in grad programs in particular for Math, Physics, Engineering, and other hard science disciplines.
