#iteachmsu Getting Started Playlist

  1. Login to #iteachmsu Commons
  2. Navigate to the Help and Support Group from the Home screen.
  3. Click on the Join Group button
  4. Click on the Playlist page
  5. Locate the "Getting Started" playlist for tutorials and helpdesk information.

Creating Accounts

  1. Shibboleth is enabled on the site.
  2. MSU accounts are provisioned after signing on with MSU NetID credentials
  3. Users can click on Login to receive login prompt.
  4. If the user has recently authenticated on another site, those credentials will automatically pass through to the iteachmsu site.

Posting Content (link):

  1. User must be logged into the site before contributing content
  2. Click the Login button, and enter your credentials (if needed)
  3. Click on the +Add button located at the top of the page. From the menu, select Post
  4. Use the Select Category drop down to assign the most appropriate category
  5. Click in the Add Tags field, and type keywords separated by commas or spaces
  6. Click the Post button to submit. Post will display in the feed.

Bookmarking / Saving content:

As you are viewing information on the home page, you can click on the bookmark button on a post or article to add it to you Saved Items bin.

  1. Click on the +Add button located at the top of the page. From the menu, select Post
  2. Select Playlist from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on the Settings page to complete the setup fields
  4. Click on the Build page to assemble your playlist. You can modify section headings, add descriptive text, and drag content from your Saved Items to the appropriate sections.
  5. Click Publish when you are finished. The playlist will be available in the group that you specified. The default is iteachmsu.

Creating New Groups

  1. Click on the +Add button located at the top of the page. From the menu, select Post
  2. Complete the following fields:
    1. Group Image: 170px x 160px image
    2. Name: Group Name
    3. About: Purpose
    4. Category
    5. Privacy: Public or Private
  3. Click Create Group

Viewing Published Playlist:

To view playlist users will have to be logged into the site. Playlists are stored in the groups they are created in. You can also find them

  1. Click on the Browse button on the left navigation
  2. Use the top-level sort, to focus on your desired search.
