Respondus - Cannot Move Past the Start Quiz Page on a Chromebook

Problem

When trying to take a quiz in D2L on a Chromebook, you are not able to advance past the Start Quiz page.

Environment

Chromebook
Chrome (last verified on Version 114.0.5735.199 (Official Build) (64-bit))

Resolution

To allow pop-ups in the Chrome browser, either (both methods go to the same place):

  • select the 3 vertical dots at the top-right of the browser and go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Pop-ups and redirects; OR
  • copy this location into the URL window of your Chrome browser: chrome://settings/content/popups

From either method, then select Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects.

Pop-ups must be allowed in the Chrome browser for the quiz to proceed.
