Spartan 365 - How to Download or Delete Videos on Microsoft Stream Classic

Objective

Following these steps will enable you to download or delete videos on Microsoft Stream Classic, which is being replaced by Stream on SharePoint. An introductory article on this new version is available here (link, KB 1556).

Steps

  1. Log in to the Microsoft Office Portal (link).
  2. Use the search bar at the top of the portal and enter: Stream.
  3. Select the Stream icon that should appear while you are typing.

  4. The Stream (on SharePoint) homepage will open. Select Steam Classic from the link near the top right of the page. The full text is: "Welcome to Stream on SharePoint. Use Stream search to find videos that you own (including videos migrated from Stream Classic."

  5. Once on the Stream Classic Homepage, select My Content > Videos.

  6. Search for the video you want to download/delete. Stream Classic gives various filtering options to search for the video you want.
  7. Once you get the video you want to download/delete, select the More Actions icon (...).

    • Choose Download if you want to download the video. The video should be downloaded to your local machine.
    • Choose Delete if you want to delete the video. A confirmation message will appear, confirming your intent to delete the video. Select Delete the video to confirm the deletion.
  8. You're done! Based on your choice above, the video will get downloaded or deleted from Stream (Classic).
