Following these steps will connect your ORCID iD to your MSU NetID.

Before You Begin

If you do not already have an ORCID iD, please register at: https://orcid.org/register

Be sure to add your MSU email (e.g., sparty@msu.edu) to your ORCID account. This helps associate your ORCID record with the university.

Steps

Go to the MSU ORCID connection portal: MSU ORCID Connect
Select Sign In
After logging in, select Connect your ORCID ID. You will be redirected to the ORCID website.
Sign in to your ORCID account and follow the prompts to authorize the connection between ORCID and MSU.
Once authorized, your ORCID iD will be successfully linked to your MSU NetID. This connection enables automatic syncing and supports integrations with MSU research systems in the future.
