Overview and Remote Access
A web portal is provided for customers to review the details of their IT Services billing charges and open work orders.
This portal replaces the reports previously available in the old Doc Viewer and provides more detailed information.
Access to the Billing Portal
For Access to the IT Services Billing Portal (billing.itservices.msu.edu), please contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.
View/Print invoices
Note, these instructions are also included in the monthly service billing e-doc as an attachment in the "Notes and Attachments" section.
To view your invoice(s) for a selected billing month:
- Click on the Reports & Invoices selection in the sidebar menu.
- When the Reports List screen displays, click on the Get button to display a list of available reports.
- Double-click on a report title to display a Report Parameters page. Typically customers will select one of the following reports:
- Select and enter the necessary parameters for your report and click on the Run Report button.
After a few moments (be patient) a PDF file is automatically generated and displays in your browser or your default PDF viewer depending on your settings. Once displayed you can review, print, or save/export the report as you prefer.
A message, "No data found for this report", displays if there are no charges corresponding to the selected parameters.
There may be more than one page, if so click on Next page.
Note: Work order charges are not invoiced until after the work order is closed. Check the "Open Work Orders" to see pending charges that have not yet been billed.
Work order reports
Available information regarding a work order depends on whether it is open or closed. Double-click on the corresponding title from the Report List and enter the parameters as prompted to display information about a work order:
- IT Services Open Work Orders by selected Account # to see the open work orders for a selected account number.
- Work Order Service Invoice to see the Service Invoice for a selected CLOSED work order.
Additional billing details or information
When you need additional billing details or information, you can directly contact the charging department at the phone number listed on the bill.
Using the Export/Email report function
If you want to save or export your report in a format other than PDF, click on the Export button after selecting and entering necessary parameters on the Report Parameters page.
Available client file formats are:
Click on the Email button to automatically generate your selected report and set it as an attachment to e-mail. The From: field is automatically filled in as well. Fill out the remaining fields of the form as needed and click on the Send button.
