Before You Begin

StuInfo is a legacy system and only contains information from before the Fall 2021 semester. All information from Fall 2021 and on is stored in SIS Campus Solutions (link).

Steps

  1. Browse to stuinfo.msu.edu.
  2. Enter an activated MSU Guest Account (full email address) in the MSU NETID field.
  3. Enter the password for the MSU Guest Account.
  4. Leave the Authenticator drop-down as MSU Net.
  5. Click Sign In.
    • Note: If logging in for the first time, a FERPA (privacy) statement displays. Enter:
      • The student's MSU NetID. (NOT the full NetID@msu.edu email address).
      • The guest's first and last names. This must match exactly what the student entered when they created the guest access.
  6. Navigate to the student's information.

MSU Guest Account (formerly Community ID) grants limited access to web-based MSU services for users who are not affiliated with MSU directly. Users typically include members of the general public who sign up for non-credit courses, distance learners, and parents, guardians, and others invited by a student to access their information (such as MSU financial systems). Students enrolled in credit classes should log in to MSU resources using their NetID and should not register for a Guest Account.
STUINFO displays data from the Student Information System(SIS) as well as data collected through STUINFO itself.
