MySoft - How To Look Up Detailed Reports in EDW of Service Billings Processed Through MySoft

Objective

Following the steps below will help you pull MySoft reports showing service billings from MSU Information Technology (MSU IT).

Environment

billing.itservices.msu.edu

Before You Begin

You must be connected to MSU's Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access these reports. Please see KB 34 (link) for more information about MSU's VPN.

Steps

  1. Log into the MySoft schema in the MSUEDW oracle database
  2. Run the following script 

  3. This will search for the account without a sub account
     select * 
     from mysoft.vw_transactions
     where glnumber like 'AA100004' 
     order by transactiondate; 

    this will search for the account/subaccount using the format [Account]-[subaccount]
     select * 
     from mysoft.vw_transactions
     where glnumber like 'AA100004-L7000'
     order by transactiondate; 

  4. You can add additional filter for the transaction date, or just simply remove all the transactions that are not in the transaction date from the excel export.
