AppTree - How To Log in to AppTree for the First Time on Your Mobile Device Using the New Sign-on Method

Objective

Following these steps will log in to AppTree on your mobile device using the new sign-in method introduced 9/12/23 for the first time.

Environment

Before You Begin

The old sign-in method used your MSU NetID and password. The new method uses your MSU email address and password, similar to what is used for Enterprise Business Systems (EBS).

Steps

  1. Log out of AppTree:
    1. Select AppTree on your phone or iPad.
    2. Select the hamburger button (3 horizontal lines) on the upper-left of your screen.
    3. Select Logout at the bottom of your screen.
    4. Select Log out in the screen that pops up.
  2. Log in to AppTree:
    1. Enter your full MSU email address into the Email box.
    2. Enter your password into the Password box.
    3. Select Keep me signed in.
    4. Select Sign in.
    5. Select Allow.
  3. You're done! You've logged in using the new sign-in method for AppTree.

Additional Info

MSU is moving to a single sign-on method to provide a better experience for the campus community. Eventually, we will only need to remember one way to log into all MSU applications. A step in that process is to move unit applications, such as AppTree to the new log in.
