Michigan State University’s IT Council created the AD Governance Committee to establish policies and best practices for the Campus Active Directory, Office 365 and Fileshare that will ensure their usability and long term stability.
The committee has established standards for the use of fileshare.msu.edu.
- Department shares need to use the CampusAD OU department name.
- Departments can get a encrypted share witch would have a sec prefix before the OU name.
- For example SECitservices for the itservices OU.
