NetID - How to Reset your Health Sciences Network Password (RAD or MSUFGP domains)

Objective

Following these steps will change a known password to a new one for your Health Sciences or Radiology account.

HC and RAD Domains

Before You Begin

You will need to know what the password is currently in order to use this process. If you do not know your password, please contact the IT Service Desk at (517)432-6200 for assistance.

Steps

1. Go to https://selfservice.hit.msu.edu or https://selfservice.rad.msu.edu (link).
   You will need to either enter in your username@hc.msu.edu or enter in your domain in all caps followed by a backslash before your username (Examples: sparty1@hc.msu.edu or MSUFGP\sparty1)
2. Once you are logged in, choose Change Password.
   • Read the specifications for a new password in order to change it successfully. Your password must contain at least 8 characters, including at least one:
     • uppercase,
     • lowercase, and
     • number or special character.
   • Also your new password cannot be one of your previous two passwords.
3. Once you have successfully changed your password that box will disappear and you will see "Operation Succeeded" in the upper right hand corner.
4. You're done!
