Tags how-to public

Setting the exam as complete will make the study available on the Radiologist Reading list. There are certain required data fields that must be filed in before this status can be set.   Use the image below to reference which fields are required.

Required Field(s):

  • CPT Code: When the study is transferred to MSU if the CPT code of the study cannot be determined a default CPT of 9999 will be assigned. The user must change this to a valid CPT code. This can be done by hitting the Change CPT link.
  • Contrast Type, Contrast Amount, Contrast Rate: These values are required for relevant studies (i.e. Chest Wo/W). This information can be entered by hitting the Edit link.
  • Signs and Symptoms: The patient’s signs and symptoms must be entered.
  • Checking the studies images in MSU PACS: The images must be checked in MSU PACS. This is accomplished by hitting the ZFP Patient Images link displaying the current and prior studies in MSU PACS.

Optional Field(s):

  • Tech Notes: Any relevant notes that the tech may wish to enter – these notes will be available to the radiologist at reading.
  • Checking the Exam Complete checkbox will send the study to the Radiologist Worklist (list) for reading.

Additional Information:

  • Report Distribution: The final radiology report will be distributed to physicians on the providers list. Providers may be added by hitting the Add Provider link. Compass Health Location (Fax: 517-999-5994) will always be on this list by default.
  • Prior Reports:  Prior reports in PDF format may be uploaded to MSU Teleradiology site – these uploaded reports/documents will be available for the radiologist to view at reading.
  • PDF Version of Final Interpretation: When the radiologist has released his/her final report, a PDF copy of the report will be available within MSU Teleradiology site by clicking the View Report link on the details page of the study or by clicking Typed/Final link on the Study Worklist.
