Spartan Mail - How To Recover Deleted Items using Outlook

Objective

Outlook allows you to recover deleted items (email messages, folders and content) from your Spartan Mail account (located on Microsoft's servers) for up to 30 days after they have been deleted from the deleted items folder.

Following these steps will recover Outlook items that no longer appear in the Deleted Items folder.

Environment

Before You Begin

If the item was shift-deleted (shift + delete key), it has been permanently deleted and cannot be recovered using this, or any other, method. 

Steps

  1. In Outlook, select the Deleted Items folder.
  2. From the Home menu, select Recover Deleted Items from Server.

  3. Select the item or items that you want to recover (you can use CTRL or SHIFT to select multiple items).
  4. Ensure the Restore Selected Items radio button is filled.
  5. Select OK.
  6. Your restored message(s) will appear in the Deleted Items folder. From there, you can move the message(s) into whichever folder you desire.
