SIS Financial Aid Portal (SFP) - How to Resolve the Pending Signature Message in Financial Aid Portal Documents Section

Problem

When trying to add/edit proxy portal access to enable guest access to your financial aid information, the item shows a red Pending message and the icon to add access is missing.

Environment

Student Information System (student.msu.edu)

Resolution

To remove the "Pending" message and be able to add guest access:

1. Log in to student.msu.edu
2. Click the Financial Aid tile
3. Click Financial Aid Portal on the left
4. Click Open Financial Aid Portal
5. In the top-right corner, click your Name and choose Profile
6. Scroll down to Manage Proxy Access
7. Click FERPA Form & Provide Consent
8. Change the No to Yes
9. The Pending status should change and the icon to add a guest should appear
    

Cause

You must explicitly provide consent before the option to add guest access becomes active.
