Overview
A new version for Microsoft Stream empowers users to create, share, discover, and manage video just as they would any other file.
With video that will be stored in Microsoft 365, the new version of Stream builds on the rich content management features of SharePoint and unlocks the intelligence of Microsoft Graph to enhance videos across Microsoft 365. The earlier version of Stream will now be known as Microsoft Stream (Classic) and the new version will be known as Microsoft Stream (built on SharePoint) or Stream (on SharePoint).

Where Will Video Files be Stored?
Videos in Stream (on SharePoint) will be stored in the same place you store your Office files, in Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Yammer. Stream will enhance those videos—powering the playback and adding intelligent video experiences on top.

Company-wide Collaborative Team (Anyone in Org can Join and Add Videos)
You can also use a public group (link), if you want to make an area in Stream that is for a team, department, or group that is okay with people outside the group seeing their videos and joining the group.
Examples:
- Cross-company team working on open area or project
- Interest group on a specific topic
- Team or department that is happy to be open to the company
Characteristics:
- Everyone in the company can see videos and channels in this group (regardless if they've joined the group or not).
- Anyone can join this group without owner approval.
- Owners and members can upload/edit videos.
- You can further organize videos by adding channels within the group.
Please refer this documentation for details
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/groups-channels-organization
- Your Chat/Meeting recordings will be stored in OneDrive (just like any file you share on Chat)
- Your Teams Channel Meetings recordings will be stored in that team's SharePoint (or Files tab)
- You can now more easily share these recordings, which works just like sharing any other document

Teams Meeting Recording Storage
Teams meeting recordings will be stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, depending on the type of meeting.
For channel meetings,
the recording will be stored in a Recordings folder in the Files tab for the channel.
The Files tab stores all files in a SharePoint site and document library for the channel. Everyone who is a part of the channel will have permission to edit and view the recording.
For non-channel meetings (chat meetings or non-channel meetings)
the recording will be stored in the Recordings folder in the OneDrive directory of the person who started the recording.
If you were part of a scheduled meeting
Go the Details tab of the meeting event in your Teams calendar (double click on the calendar box to see the Details tab) and select the recording.
If it was a channel meeting
Go to the channel conversation and select the recording.
You can also select More actions (three dots) on the meeting recording and choose Open in OneDrive if it was a chat meeting, or Open in SharePoint if it was a channel meeting.

Expiration of Recorded Stream Videos
Microsoft introducing a default 60-day expiration setting for all newly created Teams meeting recordings (TMRs). This means that by default, all TMRs created after we enable this feature will be deleted 60 days after their creation date. If admins want meeting recordings to expire sooner or later than the default, they can modify the expiration setting. The OneDrive and SharePoint systems will monitor the expiration date set on all meeting.
Details about how long recoded videos are stored in one drive/ Sharepoint please click on the link below.
