GoogleApps - How To Remove Files or Folders That Have Been Shared With You in Google Drive

Objective

Following these steps will remove files or folders that have been shared with you through Google Drive.

Environment

Before You Begin

Removing a file or folder this way does not remove it from the owner's account.

Steps

  1. Log in to Google Drive (link) using your MSU NetID and password.
  2. Select Shared with me on the left toolbar.
  3. Right-click the items to remove and choose Remove.

  4. You're done! The shared item has been removed.
