What are the generic (default) server settings used to connect a device to MSU's Spartan Mail service?
Answer
Specific devices may require different settings, but here are the default settings to use:
- User Name/Email Address: netid@msu.edu
- Exchange Server: outlook.office365.com
Additional Info
The recommended connections to Spartan Mail should not require manually entering these values. Support is very limited for applications where this entry is necessary.
MSU does not accommodate the use of outside mail services such as Gmail (Yahoo Mail, etc) to access Spartan Mail accounts. The use of "send as" configuration in outside services is also not accommodated.
