How to Create Your MSU Zoom Web Conferencing Account

Objective

Following these steps will create an account for MSU Zoom Web Conferencing.

Environment

This applies for:

  • Students who are actively enrolled and attending classes
  • Faculty
  • Paid adjuncts with current appointments
  • Staff

For retirees and other affiliates, including those with FPID logins:

  • A valid MSU business reason for the use is required and will be vetted by the ID Office.
  • Licenses for these purposes are limited and access is not guaranteed
  • Have your department contact the ID Office or submit a request on your behalf

Before You Begin

If you do not fall into any of the categories listed in the Environment section above, then you will not receive licensing through MSU. However, Zoom provides a limited version of its product for free. For more info, visit their explore.zoom.us site (link).

Steps

  1. Go to msu.zoom.us (link)
  2. Select the Login button
  3. Log in with your MSU email address and NetID password
  4. You're done! Logging in for the first time automatically creates your Zoom Web Conferencing account
