Past Practice
In the past these resources were created as on-prem accounts and required a lot of pre-configuration on the local IT side of things. That process has been deprecated in favor of creating them as shared mailboxes in the Microsoft Office 365 environment (Spartan 365). If you have one of these resources and would like to have it converted, see the Legacy Configurations (click to jump) section below.

Current Process
To create a shared mailbox, please submit this form (link) from the Spartan 365 service page. Alternatively, you can use the Request a Shared Mailbox button on the right side of this page. Both go to the same place.

Legacy Configurations
In the event that a mailbox exists on-prem and needs to be migrated, please submit a service request (link) and include the following information:
Please migrate room mailbox <mailbox name> to the Office 365 environment. Please direct to the messaging team.
