Logging In
Navigate to https://ithelp.msu.edu in a web browser and select Sign-In near the top-right hand corner of the page to log-in with a MSU Net ID.
While some features of the Client Portal are available without signing in, doing so will ensure access to all available resources.

Search
Whether you’re looking to request a specific service or review a knowledge article, you can use the global search near the top-right hand corner of the page to quickly find what you need.
Use the drop-down button on the left of the global search to filter results.

Submit
To submit a general IT Service Desk ticket:
- Select the Submit a Request button beneath the Get IT Help banner image,
- fill out the required fields, and
- select Submit near the bottom of the page.
If requesting a specific service, try using the global search to find it in the service catalog. This may provide an opportunity for self-service, or to fill out a tailored request form to ensure the request reaches the appropriate group with the required details as quickly as possible.

Browse
If unable to find the desired result through the global search, try any of the helpful options on the Client Portal home page such as:
A. Reset Password - Reset your NetID Password
B. Search for Answers - Browse the Knowledge Base by category, popularity, etc.
C. Request Access - Request Access to various systems
D. Check Systems - Check system status for planned maintenance or outages
E. Provide Feedback - Provide feedback to MSU IT.
F. Submit a Request - Submit a Quick Request ticket to the IT Service Desk

Further down the Client Portal home page, you’ll also find links to popular knowledge base articles (How do I…), live support options for the IT Service Desk, links to popular service requests (I want to…), and additional informative resources.
To return to the Client Portal home page, select IT Help in the main navigation bar.
