Before You Begin

iThenticate access is not granted to everyone. Graduate Students and Faculty/Staff/Student Employees may get access if they satisfy the conditions below:

  • Faculty / Staff / Student Employees: must have current appointments (with an active W-group in D6501)
  • Graduate Students: must be enrolled in current semesters (or enrolled for the Fall during Summer periods)
  • All other users: access will not be provided

iThenticate is similar to, but not the same as Turnitin. iThenticate is used to self-check your work. Turnitin is used to compare submitted coursework against known sources. A more complete comparison is available on help.d2l.msu.edu.

Steps

  1. Select the Request iThenticate Access button on the right side of this page
  2. Enter a Call Back Number
  3. In the Comments field, enter a brief description who needs the access and why the access is needed
  4. Select Submit
  5. You're done! The request has been submitted and will be reviewed and acted upon.
