Athena - How To Configure the Athena Browser

Objective

Following these steps will clear the cache and configure your browser and Athena Device Manager for use with Athena.

Steps

  1. Select the gear icon and select Configure your Browser.

  2. On the Configure Browser page, first select Clear Cache. A pop-up will warn you that you will be logged out. Select OK.
  3. You will automatically be taken to this screen, which asks for an Athena password (which is usually different than what you would otherwise use). Close this window and relaunch Athena using the desktop icon which will take you to the SSO login screen.

  4. Log back in to Athena.
  5. Select the gear icon and choose Configure Your Browser again.
  6. This time, select the Update Settings button towards the lower left. You will be logged out. Close the window and relaunch Athena as you normally do.

  7. Log back in, select the gear icon and select Configure Your Browser again. This time, you will see a green bar informing you the browser is updated. This last step is just for verification purposes.

  8. Now check the Device Management. Return to Gear and select Device Management. You should see the Device Manager is running, but you can see in this example it is out-of-date. Click on the hyperlink to run the update. If you do not have permission to update this, enter a ticket for desktop support.
