What are the extension and password requirements for Avaya Workplace?
Answer
Extension: the extension in Workplace is the last five digits of their phone number, with no dashes. If unsure of your extension, use this link, Request Telephone Services, select the "Request a Telephone Consultation " request type, then complete and submit the form to create a request to have someone contact you to confirm.
For example, the phone number 123-456-7890 would be extension 67890
Password: the password must:
- Be 7 to 20 characters long
- Include at least 1 lowercase letter
- Include at least 1 number
- Use letters and numbers only (no special characters)
- No more than 2 identical characters in a row (
aaor11 is OK, aaaor111 is not)
- No more than 4 characters in a row of the same type (
abcor123is OK, abcdor1234 is not)
