How to Attach a File to a Topic in a Discussion Forum in D2L

Objective

Following these steps will enable you to attach a file to a topic in a group forum in D2L.

Before You Begin

Steps

1. From the course in D2L, select Communication > Discussions
2. Select the topic where the file should be submitted
3. Select the blue Start a New Thread button
4. Input any desired subject and description text
5. Select the triangle icon next to Add attachments
6. Add the file by the preferred method (Upload, Record Audio, or Choose Existing)
7. Select the blue Post button at the bottom
8. You're done! The file should now be attached and ready for peer-review.
