D2L - How to Create Submission Folders - For Instructors

Objective

Following these steps will create a Submission Folder in a D2L course so students can submit files for review by the instructor.

Before You Begin

Submission folders are used so instructors can review files that students submit. If peer-review is intended instead, see this article (link) for instructions.

Steps

  1. From the course in D2L, select Assessments and go to Assignments
  2. Select New Assignment
  3. Enter a Name for the Submission Folder
  4. Under Submission & Completion, leave the Submission type as File submission, or choose another option.
  5. Set Grade Out Of if this has a score, or Availability Dates & Conditions, if needed.
  6. At the bottom of the page toggle Hidden to make it Visible
