Objective
Following the steps in this article will determine the category where a new knowledge article should be created.
Article categories should match the Service Catalog category of the Service the article covers.

Steps
- Navigate to the Client Portal
- Select the dropdown menu next to the search field in the top-right corner and choose Service Catalog
- Type the name of the Service that the article content is about
- Select the name of the Service to go to its Service Catalog page
- The breadcrumbs at the top of the page will show the category the Service belongs to (in the screenshot below, the category for D2L is Teaching and Learning / Learning Management).
- You're done! The category of the Service is the category the article should use.

The service catalog category is also displayed if you hover over the search result while typing in the search field. D2L is used as an example in the screenshot below:
